I always watch animated series whenever I want to unwind. I just love watching animated series no matter the mood! She-Ra, ATLA, and The Owl House are three of the most solid ones out there.

Coming to the end (hopefully) of a long, severe lockdown in Melbourne, Aus, my mind seems to have gone quite dark. I'm reading about Ted Bundy in Ann Rule's A Stranger Beside Me (just fascinates me how even someone close to him could not imagine he could do such things for so long) and am watching the very silly The Vampire Diaries for the first time. Weird how blood and gore can be 'escapist'. On the more highbrow side, I recently finished a brilliant novel, Too Much Lip, by Indigenous Australian author Melissa Lucashenko. And plan soon on tackling Charlie Kaufman's chunky novel Antkind, which I'm very curious about. (Love his movies, though I wonder how his mind will splay out without the parameters set by a film and its collaborative aspect.)

I recently discovered the organizational app Notion, so I spent last weekend making pages and getting everything styled the way I want it to look. It's all pixel backgrounds and magical girl icons, which is exactly my aesthetic. That's how I'm staying focused.

As for relaxing, I do weekend virtual hangouts with my friends where we watch movies/anime (I think I've mentioned this before.) We've had to reschedule a few times, so we're still on the same ones as last time (Dr Stone/My Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! and various movies).

My happy place is definitely hanging out with my sibling and watching whatever. We got around to watching the second season of Glitch Techs yesterday and Monday, and maybe we'll do Kipo today, idk.

I'm staying focused by taking on a 30 day art challenge. Currently on the 12th day but you can check out the drawings on my instagram or youtube channel. Both under @jessieeffendi !

To relax (or to occupy my time) among all this chaos, I got a golden retriever pup with my fiancee and he's been a lot of work but he's such a good boi. I've also relaxed by playing video games with friends like Among Us and TFT.

As for TV shows: Just finished The Boys season 2 on amazon prime and currently watching through The Amazing World of Gumball (relatable adult humor disguised in a children's tv show). Looking to pick up another live action show though!
